Willow: Ch Rowansgaard Lady of Shalott, (Am/Can Ch Fossdyke Ocean Voyager  X  Am/Can Ch Rowansgaard Cleo Laine). 10/2/2001 – 1/5/2012 . Beautiful daughter of my initial imports Drake and Cleo, my dear Willow celebrated her eleventh birthday in February, and died suddenly after a very brief illness on 1st May, making Rowansgaard’s fourth veteran loss in a year. This one was uniquely upsetting in that I was hospitalised at that time and unable to be with her. Many many thanks to Barrie and Barbara for the wonderful care they gave her in her veteran days. Best Puppy at the Canadian National Specialty 2001, she had a 4-pt major in the US,  but litters intervened and she was not finished in the states – though undoubtedly worthy.                  Bred twice to Ch Hallbent Most Happy Fella, and once to Ch Hihill I Got It Goin’,  she produced three outstanding litters, proving herself a remarkable brood bitch.  Foundation of Rowansgaard and Stormwatch lines, Willow passed on her grace, classic conformation, and remarkable drive and talent through the legacy of her off-spring and now their progeny – multiple honours in conformation and performance to their credit on both sides of the border, so far including SHs MHs FT qualified, Steady Singles Champion, HOF, CHs and GCHs, Group Placers, Specialty JAMs , BOSS x2, and BISS x2.  Willow made an enormous contribution to the breed through her Thomas Hardy,  Songs of Travel, and Hardy’s Places litters.
